Families with eviction notices call us for rental assistance. Calls are taken and awards are given on a first-come-first-served basis once a week. A family can receive only one rental assistance award per year. They must live in Pierce County, have at least one child living in the home, and have the required paperwork to qualify. Unfortunately for every family we help, we turn away nine due to lack of funds. Ours is a unique program in that we require the family to attend a budgeting class before we release payment to the landlord.

A family can receive only one utility assistance award per year. They must live in Pierce County, have at least one child living in the home, and have the required paperwork to qualify.
